Surgery on a soldier

This article on the damage some of these bombs in Afghanistan can do to a person is quite revealing for me,I had no idea how some of these thing injured people before reading this. It's hard to understand why people have so much hate they want to inflict this on other humans.

Ever seen what an aerial bomb does? I'm sure there are many Afghans who said that when the carpet bombing of their country began. When you invade a country its pretty easy to see why they 'hate' you, or at least a good lot of them.

I agree some things done in Afghanistan like bombing civilians whether accidental or not aren't good but I still think there are many good things being accomplished
there to.

I'm just saying that's why they would hate us since you said you didn't understand. If your family has just been blown up by a NATO plane its doubtful that you will be impressed by the army's claim that 'we're making you safer'.

That wasn't clear, when I say 'they' I don't mean everybody, just the ones planting the bombs.

I think that some of these people hated us even before we started bombing in Afghanistan but war in general and conflicts are just hard to understand for some one like me that has always lived in Canada where for the most part people tend to get along.

You obviously don't live in a town with a lot of french and english:)

But on that I can't agree, I seriously doubt anybody in Afghanistan had ever even HEARD of Canada. I'd also suggest the opposite was true since it was foreign aide that fed most of the population..up until 9/11. People still seem to forget that Osama hasn't been found and that Saudi arabians were the plane terrorists.
Afghani's themselves had nothing to do with it.

Afghan's do what they always have done, which is fight like hell against ANYBODY who is on their turf. The british learned it two hundred years ago, then the soviets learned it, now we are learning it.
