Landfil leaching

Reading this article would make anyone or at least most people want to limit there waste by reusing ,recycling and composting.

A massive landfill near Cache Creek where Metro Vancouver has dumped nearly eight million tonnes of waste.

This line in the article was the most shocking for me,I can not even imagine what 8 million tonnes of waste would look like,I did however visit a nearby landfill on one occasion and the mountains of garbage there astounded me but I am sure it was no where near the size of this one.

I find this story quite disturbing all around ,how can people be so unfeeling towards each other.

Attack on women in India

India is a part of the world that I have not read much about but it seems to be becoming more modern but at the same time things like this are happening to women.

Singing O Canada in school

Religion,I agree should not be promoted in public schools but what anyone would have against the national anthem is beyond me.I would be very interested to know some more back ground on this and why some parents objected to their children singing O Canada each day.

Cows with names

I have always loved cows and if I lived in place where it was feasible I would definitely have one or two and would be sure to name them.

Bishop Richard Williamson

I can not believe that someone with these types of views has been allowed back into the church.I am in favour of free speech to some extent but allowing this person,to have such a position of authority in the church is totally wrong in my opinion.

Fire belly toad

I recently got one of these toads and they are so pretty with such bright colours.They are also more active than my frogs,so are very interesting to watch.

New blog

I found this blog this evening and looking at some of the pictures really brought home to me how devastating the attacks in India really were,it's hard to understand how people can do things like this to other human beings.

Coalition?

I am not quite sure what to think of a coalition between the NDP and Liberals as I am not a big fan of the NDP but whatever happens I hope there won't be another election so soon after the last one.Hopefully something can be worked out between all or some of the parties,so that an election can be avoided and things can be accomplished in parliament.

Online revenge

This article strikes me as quite funny but at the same time I do have some sympathy and understanding for the man in the story.I play fluff friends on facebook everyday and have spent small amounts of real money on it and I would be quite unset if anyone deleted my fluff although am not crazy enough to give anyone my facebook password anyway.

Election results

The only thing I can say about the election results is that is wasn't quite so bad as I thought it would be at one point,although our own liberal Mp in Miramichi,for many years did get booted out.

I found this article and particularly the comments on it quite interesting,it seems while many people wouldn't vote for Mr Dion ,they still seem to think he is a honest and decent person.Regardless of what happens on Monday I am sure it will be an interesting time to be following politics in the next little while.

Late calls

This strikes me as kind of funny but then I wasn't woken up ,if I had been I would probably be furious.If it was a liberal this had happened to I wouldn't find it very funny either

Pumpkin snatched

What in the world would a person do with a 204 kilo pumpkin.It must be pretty hard to hide something that big especially when it is known one went missing.It also must have been quite a chore to remove the thing.

Morrissy Bridge

I am sad to see the old bridge closed although hopefully it won't be torn down,it would make a very nice walking bridge if it is safe enough for that.I see Fredericton has a walking bridge across their river so I don't see why we couldn't have one in Miramichi as well.I had last crossed the bridge on Wednesday I believe when I went to work but when I went to cross it Friday evening it was closed.

Conservative ad

This is just plain gross,in my opinion an ad showing anyone being pooped on is totally unacceptable for an election campaign I would like to think that all the parties would have more sense than this.

Confused turtles

I wouldn't mind seeing sea turtles in their natural habitat but I am not sure what my reaction would have been if I had experienced this.
